The COMO Bengali Community is coordinating the “Saraswati Puja celebrations” on Feb 12th 10:30 AM (morning) at the Mandir (2006 Holly Avenue).
Please join us to celebrate Saraswati Puja this year either in person or by Zoom
Basant Panchami, also called Saraswati Puja is in honor of Goddess Saraswati, who is the deity of knowledge, language, music, and arts.
- Devotees believe that worshipping Goddess Saraswati makes the world a better place by bringing enlightenment, knowledge, creativity and purity of thoughts.
- The day is significant for “Vidhya Arambha” or the ritual of introducing young children to the world of books and learning. Both young and old participate with lots of enthusiasm, devotion and sincerity in the Puja celebrations
